Horrible and Disrespectful to Women

Be careful this hotel makes you prepay so that they can mistreat you. Especially be wary if you are a woman. In the morning, the hotel manager had the workman using a power drill for half an hour next to my room. When I called to the front desk to ask them to stop, I was lied to and told drilling was not going on. It stopped for a few minutes then resumed and I called the front desk who could hear the drilling over phone. Only then did it stop. When I went to discuss the matter with the manager, instead of making an offer of compensation or a gracious gesture to me, he offered to have the hotel cook dinner for my dog.

We stayed here for a few days before joining our cruise. The rooms are big and so is the bed. Had a small balcony, but it did mot matter. The breakfast was ok. There are plenty of breads and condiments. Cheeses and cold meats. I would have liked food to be a bit hotter. It's the perfect location for the acropolis of athens and a few others. The staff are so nice and helpful. Would go back again to stay if I was every doing another cruise from Athens.

Fabulous location meters from Plaka and the Acropolis. Safe at all times to walk. Shops, restaurants, pharmacies, convenient stores and souvenir shops nearby. Great accessibility for cars and buses. One block from a main avenue. Rooms were comfortable, simple, and clean. Spacious bathroom, marble counter and floor. Shower with a curtain that leaked water on the floor (bad). Bonus I have not found in other hotels: ventilation fan to remove steam and odors. Nice towels, good quality, soft and smoochy. Excellent internet connection Three floors only (some rooms have balconies). All rooms have a phone to call reception. Personnel assisted us in our needs. Excellent customer service. The personnel were kind and polite. Complete and varied continental breakfast. Lots of options: cereals, juices, hot and cold, natural juices, cheese, all types of bread, pastries, teas, an espresso machine with a variety of coffees (no restrictions to use it). Had dinner in the hotel a few days, there was abundant food, three courses although not very varied (repeated some dishes).

LOCATION is crucial And tia is around the most visited place in Athens. This is right in /off the Plaka strip, surrounded by shops, restaurants and sights. If time is not an issue, the double decker bus is highly recommended. The customer service is just amazing, from helping you with your ride issues to print paper copies of your cruise tags if needed any. Breakfast is pretty good as well, with a variety of your regular breakfast items and some Greek goodies.

I made reservation at this hotel via Expedia. I immediately realized that I booked it for April 4 instead of May 4, so I cancelled the booking with the intention of booking on the correct date. AFTER I submitted the cancellation I was informed that there would be no refund. I immediately called Expedia who reached out to the hotel. They said it would "have to be reviewed by management," and they'd let me know within 72 hours. A week went by with no response. I called back again and the same thing happened. I just got off of my third call with them and still no refund. What kind of place does business this way? Humans make mistakes. All I wanted to do was change the date of the reservation. Want to keep my money? Not even respond to multiple efforts to remedy what was a simple mistake? Fine. I'll never stay at your hotel and I'm going to find everywhere I can to tell this story. No traveller should be ripped off in this way.
